On August 18, 2024, Frankfurt once again became the stage for one of Europe's most demanding triathlons – the Mainova IRONMAN European Championship.
Over 3,000 athletes from around the world took on the ultimate challenge: 3.8 km of swimming in the Langener Waldsee, 178 km of cycling through the scenic outskirts of Frankfurt, and a marathon along the city's iconic riverbanks.
The course featured infamous sections like “The Beast” and “The Hell” before culminating in an unforgettable finish line moment at the historic Römer.
